This study explores the influence of virtual sports events within the
Metaverse on investor behavior in the
Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE). Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, including quantitative market data analysis and qualitative investor insights, the research identifies significant correlations between immersive virtual engagement and real-world trading activities. Findings reveal that participation in
Metaverse sports events increases trading volume, risk appetite, and sector rotation among investors. Sentiment analysis further demonstrates the emotional impact of virtual events on market momentum. These results challenge traditional financial theories by highlighting the role of digital experiences in shaping investor decisions, especially in emerging markets. The study offers recommendations for regulators and market participants to adapt to the growing intersection of digital culture and finance.
